No - Im more OEM plus as Ive heard it described - would only put OEM items on the car - but I whipped the chrome (rust) bumpers off and put a tech II kit on it. Not anal about it - dont consider myself to be a modder either.
As Steve says if I had a mint totally original low mileage something special car I would retain its originality.

If it isn't original then you may as well do what you like with it.
OEM for me, for the visible bits anyway.

Bottle tops should be melted down to make new BBS or Alpinas!

All except the wheels...for both my BMWs. This is only due to a lack of decent BMW wheels in Aus.

I try to keep the important bits OE, but like to add my own style to my E30 without going over the top and i never do anything to hardcore that cant be put back to standard quite easily.
My list of non OE/council spec mods are as follows........
Window tints
Large multi media set up
After market rear lights
Smoked indicators
Black & white referb on my 15inch BBS's
German Style number plates
Quite a list of bits that a lot of you OEM gay boys would love to hate but its all easy to put back to OE, not like i've holes in the bonnet or anything

Hmm! Are you saying the OEM lot are Homo's?
Put it this way! If you were in the restaurant of your favourite chef and he cooks you say a steak which is a bit bland, would you add salt, perper to taste or would you say "Ho no it was cooked by my favorite cheff so i will just eat it as is"? Me personally i would put salt, pepper, mutard, ketchup and everything else i needed to add to taste good to me
