Calling all M30 owners.....

Hello all.
I'm seriously considering doing an M30 conversion on my 316i as I've been offered the lot by Baz on here. Only problem is the dreaded insurance.
I've spoken to my insurer and others but it seems no one will insure....So can anyone recommend any insurers that will be able to offer a a reasonable quote. BTW I'm 20.
Cheers.

I'm insured with Sky, on here,
Adrain Flux has gone S hit, doing less modified BMW's according to their staff, and increasing their premiums 3 fold
It's your age at the end of the day mate.

I think the problem will be more the fact that your 20 and in a 3.5 converted car will be £££'s Where ever you go.

Age will be the main issue, try Performance Direct.
Try insuring a turbo'd m30

Funny enough I've been trying all day to get insurance for my 3.5 and the ONLY place which has actually quoted me is quoteline direct and it was £5668.77
Sky insurance werent interested...adrian flux werent interested...tiger insurance passed me to around 5 different companies...who werent interested
its a combination of age and the size of the engine..they just panic when they hear 3.5...22yrs old

!!!
mate at 20 yrs old i dont mean to kill it but i wouldnt bother! get an 318is or a 320i or something!

I think you got to be at least 21 and have 2 years of driving experience with Sky.
Just been told i can't get insured on my new daily because of my conviction
Have you tried Perfomance Direct?

I've noticed insurers are now being picky.
Even AF weren't interested this year, and i was with them for 4 yrs before Sky

sky told me they can't insure me either on my sport when i was 21 with 1 years no claim!. Can't imagine what they would have said if i said 3.5L! the computer would have probs blown up!!
