Im older than most on here,i think E30 drivers possibly fall into two camps,1.The younger guys whose Dad,Mum,Uncle,Teacher had one when they were growing up or 2.Us old farts who were either not quite old enough, couldnt afford the insurance etc at the time and have always hankered after one.Im lucky enough to have 3 at the moment,so making up for lost time!!Its good to see all age groups driving, saving and maintaining these wonderful cars,i get a great feeling when i see another one on the road, because although over 2 million were produced you dont see that many around.
just over 40 on my second e30 but i've had another 7 or eight that never went back on the road.
why an e30?
cause mk11 escorts cost too much and my car is way more refined than any escort i've owned..

im 20 and on my 4th

i dunno what it is that makes me love e30's so much.... everyone who seems to own one always has more than one (myself included) whether its for a readily available part supply or just the feeling of self satisfaction that you've saved another one of these beauties from the knackers yard!

Right then I'm off to find a turd, I mean third
318i Touring
22 and, had my first when I was 17 (a humble 316i-lux)
Have three now... 318iS road car, a long-term track-project (That will probably never get done
) and a drift car I'm building at the moment....
Wouldn't mind a touring either to be honest

im busy this week converting my humble 316i to have full running gear off a touring i bought. sticking the 318i motor in it for now but having just purchased a e36 'is' lump for the bargin price of 50 quid im thinking maybe some sort of turbo conversion ready for next summer
