not sure bout that. Very unique car!
Wouldn't take much to put a s14 back into it. This would keep it's value amongst standard m3s. Cossie engine dnt come cheap and would be a similar price to a s14.

Tell me about it, i've been looking for a while now for a YB but they're quite pricey

Can anyone tell me what i would expect to pay for a cossie set up?
I know most parts come with Cosworth tax but i've no idea what is average cheap or expensive.
I've been offered a rwd engine (205 block) with around 70k out of a 3 door with a group a headgasket no other mods. Engine comes with alt, powersteering pump.
ECU
Rwd wiring loom
T5 gearbox with starter.

£1750 with T3 turbo
£1650 without turbo.

I have a 205 blocked engine in bits, it will need rebored but was brandnew 5000 miles ago, also have most parts from a well specced 1988 2wd saff and some 3 door bits.

I have wiring loom, T3 turbo, engine in bits, 2wd T5 gearbox etc etc.

That is a good price for it.

I sold a 4x4 1993 engine that is in the Auralis Blue Escort Cosworth on the cover of this months fast ford magazine for £2200 without the turbo, ECU, loom etc. That was with greens, paddle clutch, Group A gasket etc etc.

Fuzzy on here used to run a cossie block in his E30 Touring, with about 330bhp.
Try PM'ing him.

330bhp is stage 3 spec, easy peasy and pretty reliable. I had a stage 3's cossie with 124k on it which had never been rebuild, the engine is now in the concours Auralis escort cosworth that is in this months fast ford and has still never been rebuilt.

There used to be a twin turbo'd Sierra up here years ago, it was built by AVA Turbos back in the days when they produced some well fabricated cars. Those days are long gone unfortunatly.

Believe it or not there is still some development going into these YB's for the big power boys.

I remember and old article in max power where some famous jap racing driver came to the uk to go in one of the fastest Saphs in the country. He was impressed with the power but not overly, the driver then responds by saying its not bad for a 2 litre and the jap guy was in a complete state of shock "what 2 reeter, not 2.5 or 3.0 but 2 reeter"

(the driver with a smile on his face) "yes 2 reeter"

i remember that cracked me up for ages. Got to be one of the best looking 4 pots out there.

i used to have a turbo technics twin turbo xr4i (with the bar down the rear qtr window) one of the only car ive actually regretted seperating with, but at 20 it really wasnt feesable (if thats how you spell it) to keep it, so swapped it for a renault 5 GT Turbo Raider An 1500 quid, an was phoned 2 weeks later by the lad that got it to say it was now team wipeout an boomeranged often wonder if id kept it
