OK, what next?

Right, so I've had my E30 now since May and I'm really enjoying doing the mech and retrofit stuff. She was a very basic spec 316i but essentially clean.

To date, I've fitted leather, retro fitted the heated seats that came with them, front fogs, a heckspoiler, alloys, stereo etc.

So, in regards what else I can retrofit, what would you suggest?

I was considering:

Rear electric windows (I'm guessing the looms are in place)
13 button OBC

What else?

Cheers-

Stu

To be fair I'd never considered 'em, as the standard lights are stunning compared to same age cars, even modern cars, but worth a thought?

they had these in the 80s then ?

I would recomend doing the bushes, shocks, springs or if money is tight and you want to play overhaul the calipers, replace fluids.
Boring stuff that no-one gets to see. But ya bum and hands will feel the difference and it'll be faster.

how did the belt change go?

Not doing it yet, doing shocks 1st, not next weekend the weekend after, then belt.

Nearly sh1t a brick when the local independant garage quoted £250+ to change the belt... even if it is difficult I'll do it meself-

I'll give you a shout when I do tho as al help appreciated bud!!!

CharlE30, you seen any parcel shelves with blinds fitted? when I got it. it had a (poor) aftermarket one fitted- would love an OEM one, were they electric?

OEM ones have the blind built in to the parcel shelf, electric were a very rare option but do exsist. 99% are just manual.

When you've done a belt change for the 1st time (succesfully) it gives you the confidence to tackle anything on an E30... it really is easy to do.

Not the motorist center then.
Only thought Bernie Ecc could afford their prices. Mind you that was nearly a decade ago.

No, but last time I checked it was 2010 and this was a recognised modification that works well. I suppose you don't have CD or MP3 in yours?

Headlamp washers are plug n play too? Do you need a different grille?

Man I love the E30. If this was any other motor it would take days, I fitted my foglamps in 1.5 hrs last week.

Quality!

Should probably confess I've been researching the best way to run an mp3 into the crackly old Blaupunkt in my E28 because I don't want a modern head unit in there.... :o:

But you can't it HIDs to an E28 so that's all academic to me!

I like the look of your car already, so it depends where you want these extra's..

I think worthy for it and realistically are, rear leccy window's, rear blind shelf, rear shelf speakers, deeper pile carpet, 13 button OBC, Tec1 or 2 wheel, cruise control etc...

Maybe upgrade the ARB's or a rear disk brake conversion....

Headlamp wash wipe you will unlikely get cheap as they go for around £100 - £150 as the US crowd love them.

Funnily enough I have a complete kit, that I'm thinking i'm going to sell rather than faff with putting it on my car.

I'm sure theres a few nokias that have a built-in fm transmitter and 2nd hand on ebay could be a steal ?
could be worth looking into, and with how cheap sd cards are one for each genre

Map light rear view mirror, tool kit, triangle, med kit and fire extinguisher, cruise control, AC, leather handbrake gaiter (off e30zone), Alpina handbrake leather handle, mtech2 steering wheel, sump guard, winter pack: heated locks and windscreen jets.

Pukka :)

(and an engine change obviously ... )
