Cant go wrong for Ԛ£20 really!

The welded bit might be were a garage or the owner jacked it up wrong?

Looks good.

well i just got back from the mot station it failed
on 4 things 5 originally but a tyre is a easy fix as i still have the steelies from my 316.

1 body has a projection caused by corrosion.
it has a hole that needs welding in other words
2 nearside front suspention arm has excessive play in ball joint
3 offside front drag link end ball joint has excessive play
4 exhaust system has a major leak of exhaust gasses

i guess thats not too bad considering i only paid Ԛ£20 for the car in the first place but then i asked for a price to put it straight with out fixing the exhaust

Ԛ£183.71

200 quid for a car with 12 months MOT still isn't bad

How did you manage to get it for Ԛ£20 in the first place?

by wayneE30
well when i was doing my hgv training one of the instructors had said he had it sat there for ragging around the air field but never did so he said Ԛ£20 its yours

technically its Ԛ£240 with the mot but yeah is ok. oh not forgetting the exhaust that will be about Ԛ£50

Is the Ԛ£183 include VAT?
I assume this is just for the ball joint and bush. If you were willing to do it yourself (you need axle stand+hydraulic jack) you could replace both wish bones and all bushes for that price. Its about a days work, and YOU can do it.

As for Ԛ£250 all in for a car with 12months MOT I recon with a good polish it could go for Ԛ£400. not bad

As for the 316, er you probably would get more to break it than sell it as one.

Posted: Tue Sep 13, 2005 9:43 pm
by wayneE30
that is incl vat mate Ԛ£400 no chance not that much surely

yeah have to break the 316 but the only person interested is you at the moment well you can have the stuff off it just dont know what they are worth :thumb:

If you advertised it properly/well on ebay I think it would get close to that.

it would be more than Ԛ£250 for sure with a full MOT.

re-the 316 depends on how good the panels are really Take some photos!
If you were willing tostip it completely, ie every light every interior bit you might break Ԛ£200. Its just M10 engine's/suspension/brakes arn't worth anything!
