E30 Zone

anybody know if the pre-facelift e30 only came with chrome bumbers or can u get black ones

Pre-facelift cars were all chrome for all variants except Sports (or cars with optional M-Tech kit).

Also, after the saloons were facelifted, the cab had the same chrome bumpers, but painted(?) black.

Oh, and it's bumpers

my 86 325i orig had metal bumpers in diamond black

Were they painted black or did they have some kind of covering like the chrome window trim is covered up on the higher spec facelift cars?

Errrr.............my 89' 320i cab in Alpine White II is pre-facelift with shadowline. Came with colour coded bumpers as std.
Once upon a time you could get bumper sections in primer, ready for painting in the colour of your choice but no more alas....you can only get chrome ones now

if they had the shodow lie option then i think the bumpers were colour coded if they they were chrome

my 86 325 had shadowline pack as Richy mentions the bumpers were colour coded from the factory
