E30 Zone

There is a thread going at the moment in the FAO section that is raising some serious issues about some users (to put it bluntly) killing the forum.

Not I know that no-one is going to want to openly post pointing the finger but we need to know so we can monitor the offenders.

If you have an issue with someone or you think there is a zoner that causes more problems than good, Email me d6dph@e30zone.net and I will add them to our list.

I don't want to put myself in the firing line or commit myself to the FAO post but is this a secret society to banish the "lesser" members?

No secret society here. Just asking for a hand to narrow the search down for those that are not using the forum properly.

Dave, there has been enough diplomacy on here for a while, that's why things have got to where they are now.
I think the mods need to be more assertive in the role

This is one of the larger 'unassisted' forums I've ever been on so it does need to be moderated more firmly.

Theres a few Ben. I personally had a hand in advising one member to have a thread locked ASAP for this very reason. He posted a "whats it worth Thread" and was leaving himself wide open to at least one known persons slaughtering. It that had been allowed to happened, he'd never have sold his car in a milion years. regardless of price.

This forum has got so notorious that a vast maojority of e30's on here are known. Virtually all the "sought after" ones ARE known. And so's the history that goes with it.

Yeah, that fecker needs to come back. He is usually antagonising BMW5forum members, but they never quite 'get it.'

I think the issue should be looked at as a whole. Not taking post counts into consideration, as even the more experienced members of the zone, whilst possessing alot of knowledge, cannot help being utter pr!cks sometimes.

Make me a mod, I will sort out the scum who have polluted our once fine forum !

I've now understood the concept of your post count. To think the majority were knowledge helpful and supportive posts Now i see what they contain on a general basis

What about clueless newbies running their mouth... Gets boring (well, still some amusement in it) for those that have been here a while

^Well thats where the more experience members need to be a bit patient with them.

Most of the newbies are here to learn. Confrontational and aggresive atitudes do not exactly give a warming welcome.

Neither does sarcasm by the way.

There are plenty of good newbies, There will be keyboard warriors on every forum, But they don't stay long or they go to far and get banned. There's not much you can do about it unless you make pay to view section, in which case you will keep all the die hard's. But you will also loose a few.

I love it, a thread about people spamming and posting pointless rubbish....and the first page is primarily useless spamming rubbish comments

This place has got a clique going, if a zoner posts something in that clique then it rolls on and on but if a newbie posts something of the same it gets swept away with a few posts.

I've been here nearly 5 yrs and my post count is low, the reason behind that is because I've got nothing to constructive to say.

I posted my sport restoration last year and it got little replies and I honestly thought - why should I bother to post.

I agree with this completely. It seems that some members seem to only want to talk amongst their own special little group, and pat each other on the back, while sneering at others. It can become tiresome.

Well I really think this is a pointless thread...no excitement back-biting or even abusive language...what is the zone coming to ..it has not got any real post whores since imy has grown up and one or two others have left...we used to have some really acrimonious discussions but even that has died down...boring
