17" Styling 5 in 4x100 PCD

Hi everybody,
after having successfully converted the well known Style 5s from 2-piece to 3-piece with stepped outer lips I'm thinking about a conversion to 4x100 PCD.
But before I start this I would like to know if there is any demand for it. I would be able to offer the standard Style5 in it's various original sizes/offsets fully refurbished starting from most likely Euro 1.900,- per set. As a three piece with stepped lips it'll be about Euro 1000,- more (4 new lips, machine work).
Thanks for your feedback here on this forum or directly to my email

Cheers
Wolf

I think they look awesome, but the price is going to be hard to stomache for most e30s, although there could be be more demand from the vw / audi boys if you can do pcds to suit.
How about 18in lips and barrels using 17in style 5 centres? Would open up the Market to larger / more modern bmws.
Love the polished nut, would be awesome if rs style mesh pieces could fit to extend the spoke pattern down to the nut.

To be fair.. Some people drop 1k+ into converting to 5 lug just to run these, then the cost of the wheels, then the refurb.. I think £1900 is reasonable to be honest!

18" is possible but makes them even more expensive because I'd need 4 new inner barrels plus of course outer lips. If I stick to 17" I can either leave them 2-piece as they are or if i convert to 3-piece I can at least use the inner barrels of the original rim. Alternatively I could convert the original 18" Style5s to 4x100. Personally I don't like them because they have such a tiny lip (0.5" smaller than the same width 17").

Does it involve welding the original holes up?

as I said, company secret.
Please understand that I'm not sharing this with the public. If I do it I plan to do it street legal for Germany (i.e. TÃaV approval) which makes it rather expensive. So I have no intention to share my knowledge with potential competition.
I can tell you though, that the conversion includes a full alloy hex nut since the original plastic cap won't fit anymore.
Original BBS RS mesh dish BTW doesn't fit. I tried it:

weld or plug the holes then redrill on fresh metal.
Any good machine shop in the UK will be able to do this. I believe there is a company down south who are doing my mates BBS RS from 112x5 to 100x5 and it's around 300 rips

and have fun with the 74.5mm center hole on the Style 5s
Unfortunately it is not that easy.
Besides that it makes quite a difference if you go from 5x112 to 5x100 or from 5x120 to 4x100
