TOURING REGISTER?

Not trying to be too parochial, but is there some sort of E30 Touring register in the UK or even for Europe? Even loosley, mainly because it would be interesting to know those who have theml, but also because some issues are specific to the Touring version.

I'm an ex-Tourer. Been off the estates for 5 years now. Every now and again I think about having one... but got to be strong. I'm married now. Got responsibilities. People rely on me. Must stay away from Tourings... It's the extra door... it's just so appealing

Thanks everyone for your response so far, which I find very encouraging.
Not presuming great things but, do we start to keep a list of people (addresses details of vehicles (or even past tourers) etc) yet?
By the way it would not be my intention to try and drag people away from the E30 ZONE. That is an excellent medium for the type and besides there are so many and obvious overlapping factors with E30's generally that it would not be the thing to try and do.
The tourer was for many years a car which I wanted, and it had to be the 2.5 for me. I bought mine at 87k from a friend. It has just topped 204k and is singing like a bird, but then it ought to with the freeflow stainless steel exhaust which makes it sound more like a V6.
Bodywork is find and the interior in excellent conditon. I hope to look out for another one, preferably in the metallic green with BBS wheels and bring that one up to scratch. If it can be fitted with the 2.7 M series engine then so much the better.
Just in the process of tidying up one or two details (replacement control arms, overhall gearbox because that rattles a bit on tick-over etc) and she will nigh on be immaculate. Interesting it has the same clutch as when I bought it.

Which "M" engine do you mean ?

Hi Andy
It looks a really excellent car. Knew this would happen - I am actually thinking of the lighter green metallic, or even the blue as a second choice.
On the engine I am given to understand that there is a 2.7ltr M series engine which will drop in (or more or less) as a straight replacement to the 2.5.

there is no 2.7 ///M engine..
but there is a 2.7 based on the 2.5 engine which gives 200bhp plus made by alpina... there are also other means of achieving 2.7cc but generally all involve longer throw cranks as with the alpina engine....

Yeah, it only had 55,000 miles when I got it about 3 years ago, its not used everyday, although it is my only car, so will remain reasonably low
I have all the MOT's from new and apart from 3 years when it was doing aprox 12,000 a year, the rest of the time it only did about 3,000 - 4,000 a year
