Odd one, but how much do you think i should be looking at paying to get the inside of my e30 sprayed in 2k.
tried doing it in brush enamel, and frankly, it looks wank.
my friend sugguested i high build primer the inside and sand and smooth any of the major scratches out as it will save a lot of money, good advice?
I dont have the slightest clue when it comes to paintwork, so don't want to be taken for a ride.
cheers,
Ross

i would advise amatures to avoid high build primer in cans, its nasty and can be more trouble than its worth.

ah i wouldnt use a can if i was to do it.
would borrow a gun and use that. however i have a feeling even shooting high build would require a fair amount of skill?

its more about putting enough on to work but not so much it never drys, iv made that mistake myself and have watched countless other people do the same and have a big mess to sort out.
personally i avoid it and do things the old way of a bit more work.

Just paint it with rattle cans, satin black is perfect for the inside of a track car, why would you need high build primer? I wouldnt be worried about scratches on the inside

Carefully place a 5litre can of paint inside the car, any colour will do with a stick of dynamite and light the end, then quickly shut the door;)

Personaly,I brush a coat of Dulux onto areas not usually seen...good enough for window frames and garage doors is plenty good enough for car floors!

Brush marks will look terrible, I would wipe it off with thinners and start again with satin black aerosol

What i do is heat up the tin in some warm water, then brush it on with a decent brush. no brush marks at all, just not even.
sack it, ill wipe it off and go for spray cans.
I wasn't keen on black though, thought it would be a bit dark inside?

Its not the same as deciding on a colour for your bathroom

That made me laugh that. Maybe do one side pink just to brighten it up.

I had to tile my bathroom,no pleasing some of them...Dulux still wins for the 'hidden' parts of my cars, though, have to save cash somewhere....
