As above, can these be used for the front 5 stud set up?

I don't think you can Rav, you could but would then have to get some custom wishbones made to get the wheel alignment correct. E36 M3 struts and Evo wishbones to get the wheel alignment right :)

rav, no mate it wont work!! got to be e36 m3 evo hubs and bottom arms. with the standard stuff the wheel will be almost touching the back of the inner arch. a pikey i know did try to bend the bottom arms, it might of worked. but i would not recomend it!!!

not really as i used 325i hubs with a m3 off set bush on the normal e30 wishbone , the 2 tone touring was one of the first e30 in uk to run e36 stuff

as for the compact legs ,its no good anyway ,shocks for a 4 pot ,i guess its a non vent 318i legs which means the brakes would useless anyway ,get the m3 ones if you can as you will have the bigger brakes

The actual strut part is the same on compacts as all e36s other than the m3, which like e30 m3s have the arb pickup on the strut. The hub part of the legs should be the same too, but 316 compacts used solid disks with callipers to match so would be a good idea to at least change to the vented setup.

So they can be used then?
And change over to a vented disc?

when i tryed fitting the standard e36 m3 leg, hub and bottom arm i could not get full lock as the wheel actually hit the inner wing!! with the evo hub and bottom arm it is fine!

Could this be solved by using adjustable lollipop brackets
