I've got yellowstuff on mine, and I think they are very good. Much better than the mintex and ferrodo i've used before.
Not tried green ones tho!!

I've got green stuff pads. I dont know if it's my imagination, but they seem to be making a bit of a mess of my Ferodo disks. They're getting a bit 'lined', if you get what i mean.

I use Greenstuff, just ordered another set.
I find that they last for ages and produce less dust. They are hard on discs, though, usually need to change discs with pads.
Average life of pads is 50,000 miles....but I can also get 33mpg from the 2.7!

I had mine squeeking a few times. But you really have to get them hot before they started for me.
I seem to be the only person who doesn't enjoy yellow stuffs! Maybe they just need a deglazing

I've used Greenstuff pads before on other cars and always found them to be good, so just ordered myself a set for my new 320 along with a set of grooved Black Diamond discs. It's a combo I've used before so should be fine.

It has, but even with the search I can't find any decent conclusions because noone seems to have driven more than one or two types of pad.

Green Stuff are utter w@nk IMO!!
Admitedly they last forever, but you seriously have to lean on them to warm them up enough to cease the heart-attack non-braking moments you will experience!
Obviously, as they last forever, brake dust is minimal and the dust isn't nasty to alloy either.
Might as well use wooden blocks for normal and slightly spirited driving!!
Did I mention in my experience that Green Stuff are utter w@nk....?

What do you think I use?
Still the wretched Green Stuff- just cannot seem to wear the b@stards out!!
I'm serious as well- I'm not renouned for driving like Steven Hawkins but I just can't wear the damn pads out

which means I still have heart-stopping moments when I really need to use them...
They truly are kak of the highest order- can't recommend NOT using them highly enough!!

If they are that bad stop being a tight bastard and get a new set of pads that will work before you stick your into the back of some poor sod

Hands up to that I'm afraid!! It's also become a bit of a personal mission to actually finish the pads off!! I think they may actually be indestructable....?

I'm surprised that I can't finish them off!!
I can't remember the name of my next pads but a search will bring them up!
Yeah I have got uprated discs also and I still can't wear them out.
WHEN you can keep some heat in them they stop fantastically but for road use they properly suck the root!
STEP AWAY FROM THE GREEN STUFF.....

Yeah you regularly hear Reds being fine both on track and road! You running OE discs/callipers/fluids etc or aftermarket stuff?

So are reds actually good news on an E30? I'm looking for something that will stop me first time and not fade under pressure - basically your perfect brake pad :/
How are Mintex 1144 and 1155 rated in comparison?

gareth uses reds on the road and on track, his tourings a heavy bardge as well. my compacts a similar weight to an e30 as well
its been years since i used mintex, but i did run the 1144's and had no complaints as a daily driver or when i pressed on a bit. pagid blues were up to the job as well.
