I brought a cabbie off someone I know for cheap, 400 quid to be precise. Its got no tax or mot, and I think everyone in the UK has owned it, but I couldn't resist.

I got lots of pictures but my computer is absolute shiiit so takes ages to upload. Will try another day, but these are what I got. Let me know if anyone knows the car its self!

So this is it, looks really nice for the few hundred you paid.

Atleast your missus isn't going to have a bigger engine than you. winkeye

Please loose the pina reps though.

Its a 318i, the lad I got it off said its 'limited edition, 1 of 300?' but I cant see anything on the car that says that, waiting on the paper work from him to see if anything is in that lot. The colour is Neon Blue Kedge, I had a look when I got in. Took the roof down too, its well slick. I will get more pics of it soon, its just hard to upload them through this junk pc.

Wont be going in for the MOT for a while yet as not gonna use it til the summer. Need to get a new hood for it as the one on it is shit... Its just affording it at the moment, so its sitting with tarpalling on it for now.

Yeah Adit, has an electric roof, although it doesnt seem to pull it back so I need to have a proper look at it when I get some time. But after a new roof first so hopefully sort it all then...
The rear section lifts up for it to sit under, but gets caught on the hood itself so a bit of a mess about at the moment.

Absolute bargain (from what we can see!) It's a relatively rare facelifted version of the cab for a start, with plastic bumpers and an exhaust that doesn't look like it was tacked on as an afterthought - most E30's were updated in '87/'88, but the cab continued with the old shell for a couple of years longer.
Your car is one of the very last cabs which were produced as a 'special edition' in either neon blue or green. The downside is that the interior trim and seats are rare(ish) special editions as well, so I hope that is all in good order.

I had a sneaky suspision the interior was gonna be a 'design cab' interior, which means, I aint going to be find another any time soon. :( The driver seat has some rips in it, but I might try and match the cloth and patch it myself as I'm quite handy... 8O :D The rear seat too has a slight rip where the stitching is at the top, which should pull together with a little pull from either side.
As for the rest of the car, it all seems to be in good condition, the body work seems good, no rust at all, no dents... The bonnet is in need of a respray as the laquer has come off, looks like its had a replacement bonnet at some point as underneath I seen some red, so not sure what happened to it...

The major downside to this machine is I think I am about the 18th owner... And the millege reads 07180/4 - Havent a clue on that part... But if it runs like poop then I can always switch the engine to something more juicy. I will try and add some more picture shortly!

I have a better neon blue rear seat and some front seat bits and pieces, backrest centre and cushion centre. Also have a stripped rear seat cover but no side bits big enough to make a bolster cover without a join...
You may get lucky with BMW parts for the front seat bits,I was able to buy neon green backrest covers last summer! But they were costly...
Drop me a PM if you are interested in my surplus seat bits.

Shes a beauty in my eyes... I wanted to find a huge BEAST engine, like a 5.8 or something stupid from America and drop it in her, drop her to the ground ion some transit steelies or something... Would look stupidly cool. But now my E30's have come along... lol... Next buy is going to be an old Merc, 70' or earlier, but not for a few months yet.

Yeah man, just off the Narborough road, thanks for the comment. I didnt take it work today either. :D There is a couple of houses to rent near by, but I don't know of any for sale at the moment. Nice area though, thats why I moved here.

And @ chinchilla - Yeah, I am starting to feel a bit lucky now. :D Although its had loads of owners... So might get a new engine in the future, same thing, but just a less used as I bet it has been ragged.
