My freinds got Pradas on his golf and they havent lasted very long, but have been good in the dry (obviouly you vant have both) but in his oppion not as good as T1-r's in the wet. ive run T1-rs for 4years and have alway been very impressed with them :D

T1R'S are popular on here not least i suspect owing to price but there are far better tyres for an e30 the old eagle f1's were better and the bridgestone potenzas truly excellent.

Toyo px4s............ Crap, leave well alone.

Toyo proxes t1r`s......... Real good tyre, in the dry and in the wet,

yoko parada`s.......... Extra grippy in the dry,(soft compound) not as grippy as the toyo's in the wet

I`m sorta looking for a good allround tyre....wet/dry are the most important ones but it will also need to be stretched.

T1r's from that list.

Not on the list probably Goodyear Asymetric F1's

Definetly NOT Bridgestone Potenza S03's . Good in the dry, bloody terrible in the wet!

i think th OP is limited to ther tyres he has listed because they come in the sizes he needs, so i doubt there is much point throwing other brands or options at him

i's got with the Yokos. they stretch better and have sexy tread pattern winkeye

The reason i picked these 3 was because i`m on a budget and they seem to be most peoples choice on the forumroom and others

the T1r`s i can get for about £130 fitted which for a set of 4 is a good price.
Very impressed with the proxes in the wet Baz,
Thanks for that buddy how have you been away....busy

Thanks Kos

some of them bands are really expencive, i know you only get what you pay for but i`v never payed over £35/40 a tyre.

I have Yoko C drives on the front and Faulkens on the rear. I actually like both of the brands really well and they have the same tread pattern. The Faulkens were about £65 a corner which I think is a reasonable price. I can't remember what ones they are exactly but it's one of the ones that Kos reconmends highly to people, so I am sure he can tel you the right type.

i've always run falken and probably always will. £4£ they are very very good.

i've driven on toyos and just didnt take to them for some reason. but they are still well regarded by most.

the prada's are aparently great in the dry, but not so hot in the rain. but i never push my cars in the rain.

baz are these they tyres you'll be stretching ? yout sizes have you decided to go for?

the falkens felix is on about are the 912's. they are great, not an out and out performance tyre but are a vast improvement over the 512's they replaced

other low cost tyres worth considering are hankooks

Kos i decided to go with the 195 50 15 based on that white cabby from my other thread so yes i`ll need to have them stretched.

i have to agree with kos here falken ze-912s are good tyres alot better then the 512s they replaced but i dont think as good as the 502s that came before them ! however the 912 is a good tyre in the wet a good tyre in the dry and very well priced !

try camskill.co.uk or .com whatever it is for a list of all the major makes availible in your size theres a company verdestien or something like that and there are people i think on turbosport who are reporting good things (may not be TS cant remember where)

i did back to back tests of falken ze-912s agaist toyo proxes and yoko a509s in the dry on a "fake" roundabout near me basically a 2 lane wide chicane.

i found that staying in my own lane the speed i could take it at in the different tyres varied quite alot and i retryed untill they really felt like they were about to let go.

falkens 65 mph
toyos 68 mph
yokos 67mph

nothing scientific about it but i had a few sets of wheels at the time that happened to have the three different brands on with similar levels of tread.

im using toyo t1r's at the mo, and ive got no complaints. i ran yoko parada's before! there is not much in it to be fair. but the yoko's are assametric, and when fitted 2 of your tyres look like they have been fitted backwards. both of theses tyres will wear quite quickly! so maybe the conti sports contacts or other top shelf stuff "might" be better value in the long run.

I haven't had proxes on a BM but can tell you on a starlet turbo they were amazing, but demolished within 8000 miles. Partly because they were amazing.

The T1r s are pretty good, even against some much more expensive brands...
They have excellent dry traction/grip. not bad in the wet and they last well enough on an E30...

I used to have these on my old E30 325 and they were at leasta s good as the Bridgestone SO2s I had prior to those...

I've also got them on my current E36 328...equally as good, but they last less well, especially on the rear...from which I conclude that they work better on lighter cars.

My M3 is currently shod with Avon ZZ3s...These are marginally better than the Toyos in the wet, not quite as good or predictable on the limit in the dry and wear slightly better than the T1rs.

The M3 did have Eagle F1s for a while...But they were too hard and, although they wore well, never got enough temperature in them to grip properly...
