Hello all. I'm breaking my 320 convertible and have a zoner interested in the vibration damper from the boot (the big block of metal that sits behind the drivers side rear wheel arch). Thing is I don't know how much to charge for it. I don't want to rip him off but I don't want to give it away either.
My local BMW dealer said it's been discontinued but was selling at £250. My local breaker said they'd never sold one. Can't find them on ebay or a google.
Part number 1942238
Any ideas?

The guy can collect luckily. Poor postie indeed - just weighed it, 25kg. Imagine that in a bit of bubblewrap with a sticky label on it...

So in effect you have 25kg of scrap at,say, £80 a ton?
Your bit of scrap is the correct shape for your buyer so price accordingly. If the buyer feels your price is too high,he can always keep on looking.

Ok I'll give it some thought. The other bit of advice I've had is to halve the retail price... £125
Sounds a bit unrealistic to me so I think I'll try somewhere in the middle. Thanks for the advice.

id say closer to a tenth of the retail price. + postage.
