Refurb guy just picked up my wheels and asked what colour i wanted them, he said most go for Titan Silver as its the new BMW wheel spec and nice and bright, would this be the right choice, any pics of different silver would be appreciated.

I think that Polaris Silver is the original colour for 15" BBS.

Went to dealer today and they quoted Nogarosilber, i'd told him Nogaro is darker but he said thats the original colour, i think Titan silver it is unless anyone can confirm different.

Just been poking around detailingworld and a BMW emplyee has also mentioned Felgen but also said Titan was almost identical and this is used on BMW and Mini wheels.

So titan it is then, roll on Wednesday when they're returned.

The full refurb including centre cap, plastic nut and inner side of wheel works out at £175.

The guy is mobile although has his own premises, does alot of work for Audi dealerships.

I thought the standard silver is Polaris. I think the motorsport alloys are Nogaro with Polaris rims as standard.

Sterling is also pretty close - I sprayed the plasic centres of my BBS caps in Sterling as I happened to have a rattle can lying around, and it's not an obvious difference to Titan on the outer cap rings - there are so many angles for the light to sit on on BBS that colour match isn't absolutely crucial anyway.

Nogaro is totally different though, same as the wheels in Maddogg's sig.

According to this site BBS wheels were also available in Nogarosilver and Granitsilver, unfortunately they don't say what the original non-option colour was.....

Does anybody know the powder coat name (or code) for something VERY similar to the Polaris Silver?

Presuambly Polaris is a BMW paint code rather than standard type thing.
