Was thinking earlier...have an electric ariel on my is, and everytime i turn the stereo on, it comes up ...so it generaly is up and down every time i start the car/turn it off
but i dont listen to the radio often, so was pondering how easy/best way, to put a switch somewhere, ideally hidden but within easy reach, to just turn the switch on when i want to listen to the radio, to just be able to keep the ariel down and save always driving around with it up, thus also keeping it better conditon/shiney
any advice on ideas what to do exactly

i used a second rear demsiter switch fitted in a spare slot above the heater contorls and wired the signal wire from the head unit through the switch and then i could control my pesky arial, tjhis was very useful in my cab as the thing is very noisy!!

If you expose the wiring behind/above the glovebox, you should find a parallel twin cable going down behind the front of the speaker panel, consisting of one red wire and one white wire. The white wire is the control wire for the aerial. Apply 12 volts to it, and the aerial goes up. Remove the 12 volts and it comes down.
