Hi, Just wondering do all e30's have these, mine does, and i thought they all did. But i just saw some white dials for sale on ebay, and they came in either design!?

Just one of those wonders!!!

What do you mean either design?
M3's had oil temperature rather than economy.

Are you sure you want to change the appearance of the E30 dash
Why try to improve on perfection??

Some very basic 316s had a clock and no rev counter or econ gauge.

There are 4 different dials:
- Big clock (only in the 316)
- Rev counter with economy gauge (318 to 325)
- Rev counter with oil temp (M3)
- Rev counter *without* economy gauge

(I think this was an option for the 316!! I can post a pic later)

That can't be 100% correct - my mate had a '90 316 and it defo had an economy guage.

I don't think you could even get a '90 316, I thought the base model was the 316i by then?

That's right mate, he must mean the 316 carb (1.

not the later 316i (1.6)
Nice and confusing.

It was a 316i - I left the "i" off my first post by mistake - same as you did probably

u can DEFINATELY get a 316 carb with plain revcounter with no eco gauge.
found one in a breaker other day, was gonna put that revcounter in my clocks cos it looks really nice and simple and my eco gauge don't work..
but went back to get it and the fcuker had crushed it !

Ok, here's the pic from the E30 options brochure, guys
What I meant was that the 316(i) was the only E30 that didn't come with a rev counter as standard (at least not here in Holland). Obviously you could order the rev counter as an option.

Well here I'm pretty sure every 316i had the counter as standard, just not every 316.
Is the above pic for a diesel by any chance as the rev limit is very low?
