Green Interior?

Hi guys,
I'm currently in the process of restoring an E28 M535i and one thing that is buggered is the drivers seat. I've been made aware that the E30 uses the same seats (just with different subframes)
Just wondering if the E30 was available with the same light green interior as my E28?

If the E30 uses the same then I have a much better chance of finding a replacement!
Many Thanks
Mathew

I'm a regular user of that site :D
Just trying to find out if I'm wasting my time keeping an eye out on this site.

Green was used in the E30 but not in the same pattern used in the E28.

Thought E28 seats were slightly bigger than E30 ones - not just different subframes ?

Like the green interior though Matthew - nice to see something different :D

That green was as rare in the e30 in any style (sports seats or comfort) as it was in the e28. and as Barry says, the pattern was different.

I doubt you'll have much luck here.

However: there could be a glimmer of hope. Drop Mark (Splondike) a line. I've been in conversations with him over a certain Agate green M535i that I used to look after in the late 90's. That car had the exact interior your's has. It's recently been broken due to accident damage and Mark was telling me the guy had a shed full of parts including the interior. Now i cannot tell you what state the interiors in now, even back then the drivers seat was not great, but the passegers seat was in excellent shape.

These seats can be stripped to a million bits and all the bolsters etc. can be swapped and changed with the relevant parts on each seat. i.e. the right inner bolster on the passengers seat can be used as the usually f*cked right OUTER bolster of the drivers seat.

Drop him a line. If it's still available, I'd snap every peice of green trim available up. and store it safetly. I'm doing it with indigo blue leather for the e30 convertibles!!!!
