That looks good!

If somebody wants it and is prepared to shell out £7K then i guess it must be worth it.....

nope, not my car but i do rather like the spec/ colour/ leather etc.

probs a bit strong for my budget as i need to slam it, roll the arches and BBS Rs it so i need to keep the purchase price sensible.

Then you won't want to entertain a rare motorsport and wreck it then!

I have to say it does look like a very nice example in the photos. Very hard to find one with the bubble leather in 'imaculate' condition. I would have thought between £5000 to £6000 for that one is its money but a car is worth what anybody is prepared to pay for it and if it make £7000 then fair play to the seller. :)

In the engine bay pic on the advert you can see some plates welded to the suspension turrets i'm sure mine does not have these is this a Cab or motorsport thing??

Only if he's silly. Look! Original, unmolested motorsports with desirable mileage on the clock are just not out there in spades. The odd one crops up, like this one, they demand good money and quite rightly.

Which is why I post so strongly against molesting them. Go molest a standard 325 'vert if you want. Mechanically they are no different (except the suspension which no doubt the deviant would throw in the bin anyway for a "60 mil drop innit") so why would anyone pay a gross premium (or indeed should the seller drop his price), just to f*ck it over?

Nice looking car but I just don't get the whole "motorsport" thing - Yes I know they're rare but giving something a "motorsport" tag and then only making changes to the body and trim without doing anything to the engine which differentiates it from a standard 325i is just BMW's way of taking the p1ss.

Its an even bigger con than the difference between sport and SE tin-top cars.

I wouldn't pay £7k for it but then I don't want one.

Does the OP have the required dollar to buy this turd ?

Having said all that I hope whoever does buy it doesn't ruin it - its a lovely looking thing.

£5500 £6000 tops!

but dont buy it to ruin it! get a runner and make a project out of it, from a runner to a running turd! but thats better than ruining the motorsport lol

looks like i rattled a few cages there, i really didnt want to offend anyone but we all have different tastes and ideas. I joined this site to gain knowledge and inspiration not start a slanging match.

I'm all for a bit of banter but not personal insults, not at least until you've met me then feel free winkeye

I totally agree with Trev, I have a motorsport and would never molest it in anyway......but as a couple of you have said, its yours you do what you want with it, but dont expect to win much credit from many people

I'd say 5-6k isnt a bad price provided the condition is good........

e30s are gradually going up in price, and tbh especially motorsport convertibles which are rare and seen as collectibles amongst the purists, there going to rise up much more then 7k so get use to it :)
