If you click on the extreme right - hand button just below the M3 in the header of this page (it probably says 'No new messages' at the moment) you can create a message (PM) to Gareth.

This message will sit in your Out box until Gareth has read it, when it will transfer into your Sent box.

I've only added that last bit of info, as it's a bit confusing if you're not used to the messaging system on here. :D

When you have a reply from him, the 'no new messages' will say '1 new message' etc etc
