Can anybody explain or verify with my that there were two versions of the Hartge Strut Brace for e30's? I just bought this:

The one i'm used to seeing looks like this, but with two bars going across. The guy said the one I just bought was second generation. Anybody want to verify? I hope I didn't just get scammed

£77
After some more research and if he doesn't give me my money back, I'll probably just clean it up, rip off the Hartge badge and resell it. So there was only one Hartge Strut Brace? Anybody have one for sale for me?

Price should've seemed a lil too good to be true!
You shouldn't have a problem selling it on via the zone - wouldn't be too sure on getting what you paid for it though...

That is definitely a hottuning item, you can tell by the quality of the plates that are welded to the strut top plates

Wow that's nice! I think this is definitely the most attractive strut brace for the e30. Please let me know if anybody has one for sale.

I've just been informed after some research, that the one I just bought is similar to the ebay one, but the one I just bought has more of an oval shaped tube going across. Apparently, Hartge made a strut brace to fit the M42. It didn't come on any Hartge model released, but one could buy the strut brace as a separate accessory and this Hartge Strut Brace is the only one that fits the m42.
Anybody confirm what he's talking about?

Just thought I would drag this one back up.
Looks to me like there is 2 different versions available, the one pictured above is different to the H26 that's currently on e-bay, and the one fitted to Bryn p's car that he imported from Japan.
I've finally bought one today that is identical to these..
