Hey guys, I was flicking through pistonheads in the e30 section, and I came across the below add:
http://pistonheads.com/sales/1361227.htm

If you guys read the post the seller states
" no.5 of the 250 made (as trademarked inside of bonnet)
Where does it say that?

I haven't noticed anywhere on my motorsport, especially in the bonnet stating what number out of 250 mine is..........Is the seller telling fibs?

I know one way of finding out what number out of 250 yours is, it to take the rear bench off and there is a sticker under there saying what number it is, which mine does have, but is there any other way of finding out?

If any of you could shed some light on this

George

The other way is asking your local dealer, just give them the VIN and they should tell you.

Are yours and skipundas motorsports the same colour, because if they are different colours then its perfectly fine.
For example if yours is Macau blue, it is number 5 out of 250 produced and Skipunda's is Sebring grey then his will obviously be number 5 out of 250 sebring grey motorsports.

But if you both have Motorsports in the same colour and it says number 5 out of 250 on the both of yours then you have something to worry about :)

that number is meaning less to when it was produced it could be a code for the colour of the interior

The 250 on that VIN plate is the car's colour!! The 5 is the shade of that colour.
Same number should be on the LH suspension turret.
