Need an inspection 2 in a bit so will book it into B&R. Mine's a silver cab, if I see those 3 spokes I'll know it's you :chuckle:

I have the same experience of B&R!! Get a thorough quote and know exactly what they will do for how much before you get any work done there.
I have a diamond Black 325i touring around the Heath area. I will upload some shots later. I know of another guy in cardiff with a pimped red carb'd 318.

Do you guys know of any big open bits of tarmac - ie car parks, airfield, disused land etc to practice drifting on? :o

I've seen your touring around. I used to have a white 325 touring. There's a pre facelift black cabby in penylan and a red touring around welfield road I know of. To be honest its nice not seeing other E30's around, makes me feel a little smug.

Will take not regarding B&R, I'm quite thorough and won't let them take me for a ride so it's definitely a case of them only doing work I've asked them to do and nothing more.

u all in cardiff en???

get sum pics up ppl

im in llanrumney area but i work in tesco house in birchgrove so you will prob see me on route sumtime

im having oil service, annual service, head gasket and cambelt job done at b and r this month :) that should make my wallet a bit lighter :)

as for the tarmac for drifting id say llanishen industrial but dont stay too long, errm llandow track possibly.

personally i practice around tesco car park on western ave. had a few good shots recently as this is my first rwd car and ive only had it 3 months

Didn't know there were so many zoners in the Cardiff area. Thought this forum was just full of people from 'oop norf'!
beema_boy, let me know how much they charge you at B&R and if you're happy with the work, I expect a full review! winkeye

Isn't western ave Tesco a little too busy to be used for drifting without attracting attention?

they will do a good job i can guarantee that like i sed i used to work ther and the same boys are in the garage now. they taught me evrything i know about cars. as for price i usually get discount for bits and bobs but like i sed £55 an hour labour just check the price with the bosses as theyr bstards.

as for teco it ent that bad unless ur guna practice for hours. i just try a corner at a time weneva im ther. done it in front of the police the other day and just told em i lost control. its believeable as their car park is one of the slipperiest ive ever seen

if i think of any other places ill let u kno

Ok cool.
You're right about the tesco car park being ridiculously slippery. Almost put my old MR2 into a parked car one winter at about 0.05mph.
How about the old kwik save car park on newport road? Or the area behind the Porsche garage up Penarth Road way?
Lets hope we get some frosty nights this winter.. winkeye

gypsies are always down kwik save in a caravan so ur wheels will be gone before ur finished drifting anyway also police go past on newport road alot so i wouldnt go ther. also you cant say u were just in kwiksave for a late nyte shop as the stupid thing dont even open in the day lol

behind porshe garage on penarth road is a regular drifting spot for superior rides (sr) and street styles on a sunday nyte. its ok for a bit but police are aware of this event and are always down to ruin it as it gets good.

tbh im not looking forward to frost for 2 reasons
1) my house is at the bottom of 3 hills so it makes it impossible to go anywere lol
2) gabalfa roundabout has near enuff killed me evry time thers a spec f rain on it and im forced to go 1mph haha

guess ill just have to learn to drive sideways then

Yeah you're right about newport road.

Cops are always ruining fun with their patrols, even around ocean way and penarth road area at night its impossible to get 5mins of tarmac time.

Might get a scooby as a second car to give my cabby a rest

I really want to seek out a black top nirvana, I dont mind paying, maybee even an airfield day - i went to llandow drift licensing day last month, couple of nice E36s their, but an airfield would be much safer for a novice like me.
Google earth is on and i am searching now...
