My brain and my hart are having a barney

I don't know wot to do.
4 munths ago I was driving around very happaly in my track ish ready 318is. Though expensive by modern cars and very sparton and opresive inside I loved it.
Then someone got me this book about building your own car. You may know the book writen by criss gibbs or seen the first edition "build your own sports car for £250" witch had a live rear axel setup and was writen when a doner car cost £20. It was read within a day and within the week nearly I had started a build for my old m40 engion with the plan of puting the m42 in when it was on the road.
Soon after this my lass anonced she wanted a car. A tot scarey but a newish estate car. She hardley drives and wonts A LOT of time geting yoused to a famly car befor she has to transport a child. So naw I drive nearly everyware in a 04 passat tdi sport estate (the sport is fails advertising). It is fine and dam cheep to fule. I evern trailer the e30 to the track last time becaus it was cheeper an comfeyer.
Now my BMW is up for tax mot and inshorance. A lot to spend. Not that she needs work but it is still just befor crimbow. I have a daily. But. If I yous the is now for the build. Scrapping the rest and selling wot I can. I won't have my own car witch is dam fritaning. It seems a lot to shell out for a car that gets driven once a fortnight and tracked every two munths. I culd also put the car back to standard looking and sell with no tax and small mot but that seems like I will get penneys for it.
Wot to do?

I have not posted for a wile so for thows who have not read me befor. I am sory. I just canot spell.

lol leon - I gathered :) took me a while to read it properly.

You know what to do, you just want someone else to tell you! Put it in the garage & spend some time with her... then buy a scrapper for £100 and do that one up. Definately a no to messing up the IS

just store the 318is until Spring, when presumably it will see a bit more action and slum it in the new car over the winter??

leon do you sell ice creams?

or am i getting mixed up with another zoner who hasn't posted for a while :?

a car is meant to be enjoyed and not a burden.

circumstances sometimes dictate which way round this plays out.
ie up today-down tomorrow.

life eh!

Home made cars and live rear axles are a bad mix :)

Spend the time and money on the E30 and flog the frame as an unfinished project, some numpty will buy it

You don't want to or can't mot an tax it because santa is coming to town. So why not park it up on sorn and wait till feb/march and do it then, that way you will never have this problem again.
