310 miles from full to the light illuminating (around 45 litres petrol) which equates to about 30mpg.

oh how i miss the 100 miles to £20 of petrol

i'm lucky now to get 80 odd miles with granny driving in my mr2 tubby, hit the loud pedal and you can get that down to about 12mpg and that's super unleaded petrol

definately got to get myself another E30 still cant beat them for reliability and engineering :D

Mixed driving (some city traffic, some 50 zone and some motorway) I have got a steady 27mpg in my 325 since I got it back on the road 1000kms ago. The tank was bone dry so the calculations are fairly accurate.
And this weekend I found a small leak (the feed to the fuel rail was seeping at the join), so in theory it should improve !

MPG on a 20 year old 6 cylinder 2.5 can't be very good , this is why I have never calculated it !
I just fill up when empty :D

two months ago i filled 'er up with 47 litres of super unleaded - roughly about 50 quid..Then the MOT/Tax ran out and i didn't really drive it apart from here and there in my private car park 8)

Every other day i started the car for a good half hour or so and let her get warmed up..that full tank has just hit reserve and i just did 52 miles :P

I don't know if thats good or bad...but a full tank near enough lasted me 2 months and did 52 miles..with the odd start/warm up every other day!

In the last year, my touring has done 16000 miles and got through 15 gallons of petrol. :D

They are an animal on the juice but if you can afford £20 for 100 miles and less when you put the foot down then go for it! revving them is addicitve especially with a nice stainless steel line and this doesnt help mpg either!

i got 300miles from a 45quid fill up in my 318 but its got 125,000 on the clock. these 325 mpg sound reasonable something for the future i say. Whats the 24v like on comparison?

No idea ! She gets fuel when the fuel gauge says it's empty. Just buy the 2.5. You won't care about economy as you'll be having too much fun. :thumb:
