Couldn't post earlier but two members of the TG staff [not the presenters] visited my mates place last week and gave him £2k for a red e30 320 Baur.
Not bad considering he paid £170 for it without MOT/Tax!
They said it was for an upcoming show! Keep your eyes peeled

^ I'm assuming they provided I.D
They also sent him some TG goodies - TG Mug, T Shirt, TG Car Sticker etc
He rang me as soon as he picked it up as he bought it because he thought i might need some parts. He just bought another E30 320 a few days ago with change to spare!

I'm sorry to hear about your mate's problems (getting £2k for a 320 baur he paid £170 for then spending the money on another 320). He must like mint - he's menthol.
I've got a Baur rear shelf with blower in the lockup, I'm going to email Top Gear now and tell them it's for sale. ....and I don't care if they don't read it!

Don't get your hopes up! I remember the kerfuffle on the Fiat Coupe forums when TG bought a Fiat Coupe. At last! the coupe was going to be elevated to classic status in some "Italian Sportscar under £3k" sort of deal.
It was highly gutting to see Clarkson weld scrap onto the wheels and drive it slowly on the "fast lap" then trash it...

Maybe the episode will be "Caravan II - revenge of the Shed Dragger" featuring topless cars being crushed to death under the hideous MDF and fibreglass monsters....

Well my mate is a young guy - likes his civics polos etc. He buys non runners and gets em on road for some spare change. I doubt he would know the class of an E30 but his awareness is becoming apparent. He calls me and tells me how much he likes his new purchase! Will try and get some pictures later!

The baur isn't THAT bad to look at..is it? Unless my blood sugar is really out of control and my vision is being seriously impaired, i think it a good well cared example would be highly desired!

Cue shouts from the audience suggesting TG would be better off with a 318iS...or more likely a 325i.

I won't cry, its a baur!

And I love the cheap car challenges.
The TG team also contacted another member on here about his cabby, and said it was going to be used in a remote control car challenge. But then they contacted him again and said no worry we are sorted with another car.

It's a proper (all be it facelift

) M3 Baur IIRC.
Not in E30s any more
