Thieves are hard to stop if they are determined.
Is the car parked in a well lit place? If not ,consider fitting security lights that come on when anyone goes near the car,and maybe even a fake(or real!)camera...

i lived in an area that was less than desirable a while back. at the time i was running a mintymint one lady owner from new 205 1.6 gti that i'd put a lot of money and effort into. every day there would be another empty space with a pile of glass decorating it but nobody ever touched my car.
it had a cat 1 toad alarm, handbrake lock thing, steering lock thing (both useless but visible) and the best bit, i wired up the auxiliary output from the alarm to a LED flasher module from the local car parts place. it's meant to flash LSD's. i put one red LED near each door pin and one in each light so they all flashed in time. looked really cool and gave off the impression it would bite your head off if anyone touched it. it seemed to do the trick, much to the annoyance of my neighbours when their cars were missing or smashed up.

That's the thing - it's like the old polar bear joke 'You and your friend are being chased by a polar bear, how do you outrun it?' 'You don't have to, you just have to outrun your friend.' If your car appears to be the hardest one to nick, then it will get left alone. A bit cynical, but you have to look out for number one.

Absolutely shocking mate, especially if occurring in your own driveway.

Have these peasants no shame?

I like the idea of putting sensor lights in your driveway but they wont stop everyone... Maybe use the sensor light idea but with strobe lights. There is no way I would go anywhere near it if it lighted me up like a disco.

i feel for you fella.. but at the end of the day if they want it.. they will have it.
shame the e30 was fitted with such a simple immobaliser its laughable really. The dirty six has ews fitted... a good idea as when they first released them thefts stopped... but like everything there is a way around it.. a laptop capable theif wouldnt bother stealing my turd.. it dosent have an alarm on it either.

how will you get out when you've pushed flush door pins down? i think they stick up for a reason, but not so grippy none flaired ones maybe.
I like the strobe idea.. that and a siren - dummy cctv camera with movement sensing fake power LED

Rub dirty axle grease round the inside of your splitter (were it can't be seen) as soon as the stick the hands round to pull it off they will be covered in the shit. Once their chav' tastic clothes are covered in unwashable black used axle grease they'll stop messing.

viper pager alarm (made by clifford) I have one fitted and it has zone sensors so if anyone comes near the car it alerts me instantly on the key fob by beeps or vibrate also it will tell you if someone beaks the glass and even if the cut off the siren on the actuall car it will still alert on the key fob good investment no1 comes near!
