Hi all,

Just gone halfs with a friend on an F reg 325 144k on the clock for track use.

Presently in need of some tlc, but amazing condition given age, engine is pulling and running smoothly which is all that matters. Mind you even that can be changed :D

Drove it to the local mot centre expecting a few points...clean bill, so mot passed first time  Some wing rot, but only one hole in the floor.

Been doing some reading today as yesterday was spent stripping and note making, the tired dampers now seem a bit better with nothing in the vehicle. All in all we are enjoying this vehicle and the forthcoming challenges.

We have a few posts saved from this great resource.

Cheers,

Colin & Paul.

Welcome to the zone lads. An ideal choice for a track day tool. Keep your eyes peeled on here and you'll pick up some good bargains for it - L.S.D.'s always for sale and you could probably have some takers for the stuff you've stripped out. But I have to say -
:ttiwwp:

My first RWD, well I'm not counting the VW LT28 I drove for 3 years after passing my test.

Paul's had a lot more RWD time than me, so I'll very much be following in his wake, although I hope not literally.

Pic's yes, I shoud of guessed that smiley would appear :D

For the moment, it's a normal 325i with some old, new sill weld rust, and paint crazing...in perl/met black/grey.

From my limited driving of it thus far (about 40 miles) it's almost as rewarding as my 200+ fwd car, only 30ish bhp difference, will reduce that in time :D...I suspect it will be far more rewarding once out on track and I say good by to understeer and hello to a few moments of oversteer.

We're chuffed it's passed it's mot, and once a few bits are done it's off to the ring in September *fingers crossed*.

The lsd's do seem rare in the right ratio's, we'll see how it goes.

The interior is no more, it was a very tired coth interior and I'm keeping the seats to sit on in the shed over winter, stone floors; I'm just to old for that now.

Any tips on a good independant in the NW, Crewe to Preston areas?

Weapon of Mass Destruction.

Queue the FBI raiding the Zone because of mention of the WMD's.

Call in Team America.... F*CK YEAH!
