my god ive heard people go on a bit bout motors before but this guys well funny. I lost count how many times that he highlights how this e30 is the best you will ever ever ever find.
looks tidy but can he actually part with it. I thought maybe he's married to it he seems that attached.
Think this is the most long winded ad ive ever seen, could make a good bedtime read. nearly sent me to sleep.

Not sure I agree. He's overused the highlights maybe, but the photos are very clear with a lot of information. Makes a big change from the 1 grainy pic taken at nightime with no info at all!
IMO, most UK advertisers could put a lot more effort into their auctions, like they do in the US, on Ebay.com.

Looks a good ad to be honest. Have read a lot about this car in the cllub mag. Albeit a moredore

, it's a very nice car. NMaybe the ad is a bit busy but at least you know what to expect when you turn up!

Not a fan of the colour coded grille, number plate surround and black 325i badge but apart from that it looks like a very well looked after car. I'd rather see an ad like that than some of the illiterate vague crap thats normally seen on ebay.

I hate ads like that, why not just keep it plain and simple?

With 171 BHP and 6 Cylinders it was the BMW 335 Sport of its time
What is he on about?
It was and is a 325 and it's not a sport.

Nice to see people making an effort in their ads. I'm sorry but theres too many lazy wombles who cant advertise a car properly.

< PEARLESCENT RARE EXTREMELY> ??????????
What in the name of f4ck is this freak on about ?
It's a highly polished 4 door with plenty of miles, some council bits and a rusty roof. Yes the seats look nice but what sort of weirdo would pay 5 bags for a parts car ?

You don't like ads that give you clear pics and lots of info? Possibly saving you a wasted journey etc?
Theres plenty of ads on Ebay, that have just 1 grainy pic, 0 miles stated and just the off-the-web spec info on the car, often incorrect, for you to choose from, so everyones happy!

Exactly my point. Lots of nice big pics really do give you all the info you need. In this ad, before you even think of responding to it, you can see exactly whats there, and you don't waste your time. Whats wrong with that?

Anyone else think there's something not quite right with that car?
Colour coded bumpers and mirrors on an '87?
E plate on a facelift?

Nowt wrong with that Malcolm - its just a very early facelift - notice its got the non-smiley headlamps too. My car is quite a late Chrome bumper model registered in August '87 - I think the official switch to facelift models was September '87.

Exactly, who would regester a new model a month before the launch?
Along with the odd bits mentioned, gearknob and steery wheel, just seems not quite right to me...
Perhaps I am just an over cautious old fool...
Hey Rob,fancy Zone roam next year with that chromie of yours?

Registered january '88 according to the Ad - E reg went from Aug '87 to Aug '88.
Maybe he had a tech 2 wheel and leather gearknob that he wants to flog separately
Might be up for Zone roam depending on the £££ situation next Year

So we have a facelift regestered 7/8 months before launch, dodgy in my view at that kind of money....
Zone Roam is the credit crunch special,£300 for 4 nights bed and grub,do not know how we can do it so cheap....(blatent hi-jack for an extra ad!)

No malc the Facelift models for the '88 model year started production from Autumn '87 so its not anything dodgy as far as I can see - its just an expensive moredoor
Will definately give Zone Roam some serious consideration

It is tidy and clean, but a mish mash of pre-facelift/faceleift bits from other E30's..... Why has he got 2 drivers seats from a 2 door fitted ?

Dont get me wrong im all up for an excellent ad that gives you all the details and more, but no need for the almost un readable fonts and colours. Just plain simple, spaced well and it will look well prepared and professional.

Ah, fair enough. The ad is OTT, but I'd rather it be that way, than the other way. He turned down £2400, for something that most of us would have been happy to get half that. Lesson is, if you're selling a shed thats a bit suspect, thats the sort of ad you'll need!

I agree a lot of people should be more detailed in ads especially on ebay but this guy is takin the p##s

Hmmm... this car has had an air of b/s about it before. The previous owner got the hump when he asked 'why isn't my car selling?' and a load of us said on here 'because it's up for about £1000 too much'. It's probably a sound enough car, but it's totally unoriginal with some minging details.
Frankly it shows the power of nonsense - it's already up to £2400 (if those bids are genuine, frankly the bloke selling sounds dodgy as fuck).
The rust on the roof is alarming, as IIRC this car had a full respray about 18 months ago - I wonder what else is just about to break through the shiny paint.
And as for 'best you will find' - simply, no.

I'd lay good money that the next bid would have broken through his reserve, leaving some poor mug lumbered into buying it.
Luckily, no-one took the bait. Just my opinion of course. Reserve auctions never attract me.
