i still dont know if it is black or grey..

one mate said its grey the other said black .

Looks black to me,there should be a colour code sticker on the n/s front inner wing...

Is there not a colour giude sticker on the passenger side turret

isnt shwartz black pure black none metalic? i had a e36 328i coupe in shwartzII and it was pure jet black and not metalic. im sure it was called shwatzII as there was another shade of metalic black that looked greyish.

This was it, bit of topic but ive never seen another in that colour it was gorgous....

Its too dark to be graphite grey.

if it just says Shwartz metallic then this is not the same colour as Diamantschwarz Metallic !!

if the paint code is 181 then its Diamantschwarz Metallic (diamond Black metallic) if is says 086 (IIRC) it is Schwartz - just black or Schwartz metallic - metallic Black. the paint code will be just below the paint description sticker on the wing

It is possible to get Schwartz or Schwartz I (086) and Schwartz II (668) , and they can be metallic or not.

the SchwartzII E36 above is not a rare colour!!

my old E39 is Schwartz II metallic - i know as it was my first time to spray a car !!





and a side by side of Diamond Black and Schwartz II metallic can be seen below....the better car is diamond Black

black i would say how annoying about the stone chips on the bumper

I have a Diamantschwarz Metallic 325 and because of the matallic paint it does look like a dark grey, its not a true black. Still love the colour thou!

when i had them make my Diamond black for my cab respray there was a surprising amount of pink in the mix!!

The metallic part of it is actually flakes of metal added to the mix, this is what gives the paint its sparkle.

Finally found a pic to show what I am jabbering on about re: looking grey - here is my (old) diamond black (metallic) cab parked next to my gloss black 325 ~ not the best shot but you can still see the distinct difference, definitely a dark graphite grey, however, never the less, GORGEOUS! I loved the colour of the cab
