motorsport chassis numbers

hi does anyone know the chassis numbers of the early motorsports would be intrested in checking mine to see if is a genuine sport thanks burt

You could try putting your vin into this and see what it comes out as

Go down to your local dealer, give them your VIN number and they will tell you

phone your local BMW garage give them the last seven digits of the chassis number and they will confirm for you if its a genuine motorsport or not............

the above link will not tell you if its a motorsport as i've just put in my chassis no. and it doesnt say motorsport on it

Yeah, even I just used the above link, it does't tell you if its a motorsport or not. It just says Bmw 325i, auto, M20 engine,etc

To date, BMW have not given the chassis numbers of Motorsports out.
As stated above,your dealer is the place to go to confirm authenticity.

Bmw will give you the factory build sheet which will state on there if it is or not
not sure if there is a charge for this service ?

Upon enquireing at my local dealers,they gave me the spec sheet free of charge
I don't think you will find the word "Motorsport" on there thou.What your looking for is the code "796".

I don't think you will find the word "Motorsport" on there thou.What your looking for is the code "796".
there is no charge for finding out the spec of your car BMW will print you out one for free..........
on the spec sheet it will say if it is a motorsport or not, if it is a motorsport it will say 796 package Motorsport edition.......
