It's a good way to go about it. A little here and a little there and you should end up with a really nice car. It looks good the work so far.
It looks pretty solid. are there any rusty bits?

NAY c it runs kinda ok i think tht the idle speed control valve is boogerd tho runs fine with it disconected but when conected engine is pulsing and control valve is ticking like mad but boy these aint cheap are they

it will say on the logbook,
lux models come with a bigger tank with two sender units.
a posh carpet and a couple of other bits i can't think of atm.
oh should have leather h/break and gear stick gaiters.
not sure if lux models had coded bumpers and wing mirrors
above the driver side h/light under the bonnet is a tacky plate that might have lux on it beside the engine size number or do a reg check?

On my M42 I've lost the idle valve all together, just means I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up but after that its fine. Sounds primative but it's a track car.
Weldone for saving it

I've got some 17" RH Topline replica's, 16" Kerscher Carmona deep dish (on the cabby below) and some 17" Fox Evo wheels.
Got a Volvo front lip, similar to the IS lip (on the cabby below). No shocks though.
