I realy want this car , why do thease things always come at the wrong time?, spent most of summer looking for somthing like this and have now spanked the money on a holiday and respray ffs

That looks horrible.
gaiters were cleaned afterwards! i chose to paint it the colours i did out of personal choice which i think looks well lets see your effort! i dont see how any of you can sit and comment on what it needs and what it doesnt need when you havent seen it in 3 years i can assure you i put a lot of money and time into this over the last two years and that means genuine body panels too! i have a genuine reason for sale and im taking a big loss because needs must at this time or i would keep it. I can now rem why i left this site e30 zone for people who love to hate e30s this has to be the most clicky forum about if ur from n ireland all you do is diff and wreck the car you couldn possibly have any interest in looking after it this after all is where all the scrap goes to the big e30 grave yard over here. So go for it with constructive criticisim but keep your slagging to yourself so far ste was the only person i thought was a complete and utter wanker so why dont yous keep it like that and try to encourage and advise other people instead of putting them down

What you say could be true i haven't seen it in 3 years, but i'm a very good friend of Karan. Helped him work on the car and spent some serious time in it. I remember it very well indeed. As others on here, twas a very well known car on the forum

that is my point exactly what was your alpina like simon before you started it and now its coming on brilliant. so do we pick holes in it for the way it was or do we encourage and congratulate on your time and effort saving it. personally i like to see these cars being saved and anyone putting the effort in deserves encouragement and advice is this not the purpose of a forum after all easy access to like minded people!

The engine wasn't fooked when karan sold it just stem seals as it was starting to smoke a touch on the overrun. It was still making good power back then. For a 2.7 build its high miles

Sure the silver paint won't be to everyone's taste, but it certainly looks a lot better than if it were covered in s**t !
Best of luck with the sale.

Fair play to you Staffy, looks as tho' a lot of works gone into it not to mention money. As for the silver, christ, if my car was that clean underneath I wouldn't give a s**t what colour it was.

the engine was fine when i parked it up i drove away at her till the tax run out because i was for getting stuck into the body work it was sitting for two years and started first go no prob at all i had to move it in and out of the garage a couple of times and it was fine then my other cars brakes went so i brought it in and left the bm outside next day she was off a cylinder and i have no idea why. like i said my situation at the moment has changed or i would keep her but i really have genuine reasons why im selling at this price it is a bargain think how much a full btb system is on its own never mind anything else if i was a wanker i would have just broke it and i would make more especially over here, but the truth is i want to be able to see the gug live on!

was fine when i sold it.....perfect mechanically and faster than just over 200bhp would suggest. Was a great streetcar.
the welding was sufficient at the time, but not something awesome. Love the car and love the look but unfortunately i spoke to some owners after me and i am aware it had head probs after in head gasket going and possibly more. I would be dubious to the spec of the engine now as i suspect it may have been replaced by something standard......
Everyones got their own standards...mine would be to reshell it, some peoples may be just to tidy whats there.
Im not gonna say stuff openly on here for 2 reasons----it may have been fixed already and i dont want to affect your sale even though i fear some may have already done that.
If the engine was good and as when i sold it id have been down there and paid you double

well said karan yes it had head probs as i said the day after i bought it for some reason the head was glued on i have no idea why but i had everything striped and rebuilt that was 2.5 years ago i have owned it ever since and worked away at it mostly underneath lol i was for keeping it i just didn see the situation im in coming so no corners where cut as it was a personnal thing. the engine is the same one and was driving fine i have no idea why its off a pot it has sat for 2 years. im just pissed off i have to sell as it stands me well over three times wot im asking
