Went out to Ruapuna (my local track here in NZ) again yesterday for a playday. Unfourtunitly for me my brake booster seal/diaframe blew in a warm up lap earlier in the day ( booster needs a rebuild now) so i only had man power to brake......so needless to say i had bugger all brakes but still enough to have some fun as well as clean up some Turbos Jappa"s (Mazda Spirit R RX7, Nissan 200SX,Silvia,r33 GTR, and a few mr2s) and my personal favourite Porsche's, one 911 Carrera4 3.6 with a carrera cup exhaust (sounds so good) and one Caymen S so i was well chuffed with that!! Oh and cleaning up an R33 GTR on the straight!!
There was a GT2 Porsche out there but due to various reasons we didn't get near each other all day, oh well maybe next time. I'm sure if it was pedaled well it would of totally left me in its dust anyway.
I'm starting to get my heal toe going but due to the brakes being boosterless i couldn't heal toe particularly well because the pedal had to much travel.
Anyway i hope you guys enjoy it, remember if you like it give me a five star

saw this conversion a while ago. Lexus engine correct??
very nice job and a very good looking conversion...in fact i am waiting (in vein!!) for one of my M20's to breath its last so i have perfect excuse for playing with a conversion...plenty of old soarer and Lexus parts round here!!
out of interest what box did you use (Supra??) and how did you get around the engine management?? Did you have athread on the build??
will look at the tube later as my work blocks it!!

I've just started undertaking this project myself. Drifty325i has posted a load of info on the conversion in my build thread in the photo gallery and has a few pics in his own thread. IIRC he's using a W55 gearbox which I think can be found in an AE86 and stand alone management, as the lexus ECU talks to the autobox.
The 1uzfe is an outstanding engine with the stock internals happily reving to 8k and with a set of cams, ITB's and decent exhaust manifolds can see up to 400Bhp

Car's looking good mate. Saw this video on youtube the other day, it does sound lovely. Any thoughts on going down the ITB and cams route?

Cheers fella, if i do anything next it will be supercharged more than likely itbs sound awesome but do very little with the standard lower intake manifold being a major restriction. Id have to replace that as well

Fair enough. The engine seems to be perfect for running boost. Going to go down the adaptor plate and eton M112 charger route? Rotrex charger would be perfect with the high revs but much more money.
Personally I think I'll go down the ITB's route and cobble something out of GSXR ITB's.

This is a very nice car, well done drifty! Also my long-term plan, a compact revvy lightweight V8 must really suit the E30.
