Just after opinions as to the value of my car! Following this months tech 1 sport article in TBM magazine I'd be interested in its value.
150k
Every MOT since new
Folders full of invoices
Very original car has all tools, keys, books
Leather is in good condition.
Uncracked dash, good scuttle. All electrics work and central locking.
Runs, drives well. But is not mint. Some rust on rear arch lips, inners are mint. Surface rust on boot lid and front bumper.
Standard original car.

It's not an easy question to awnser fella. It comes down to what you are prepared to accept for it. Some are sold for well under a grand and others can fetch upto 3. All depends on whos looking at the time and what they are willing to spend.

If all is mint bar some fixable rust on the boot, bumpers and arch lips then you could fetch some reasonable money. Personally you should have no problems getting £1000. Depending on who finds it and comes to look at it, nearing £2000 may not be too far out of the question.
But with these cars there is no set value. It is hard to evaluate them properly.

I sold my beautiful and very original Tech 1 a couple of years back for £2400. Perversely they are not worth as much as the Tech 2, even though they are rarer and in my opinion better looking.
At the end of the day it's worth what someone will pay for it, but I'd guess it's anywhere between £1800 and £2500.
nice porker by the way, but your Fuchs wheels are the wrong size for the year of the car. Tell you what, I'll do you a favour and take em off your hands ;)

Just out of interest what year do you think my porsche is and what size wheels/tyres to you think are fitted? They are not original but are correct as specified by Dr Ziggy Brunn; A well known porsche engineer who completed the upgrades on this car.

Im selling mine its actualy mine on this thread on the top clicky and was a bit pissed the other day to see one on Pheads for £1300, there worth what you want as long as your not silly and they arent rot buckets they are a lot rarer than the tech2 as they were made for a year only. Id say it looks as good as mine if not better and ive had it up for £2500 and ive had plenty of interest for £2000 and £2200 and mine has little history i was also offered a swap for a 4 door m3 3.0 but was to rough for me and i dont want to go down the e36 route again! im not 100% sure i even want to sell up thow not after learning a little more about mine of a previous owner on here

The second hand car market seems to have died on its arse at the minute anyway, hence why mine will be getting stored for a bit i think

Well now, let me see. You mentioned it was originally a 2.1, although it should be noted that this was in fact 2165cc and known as the 2.2, available in T, E and S specification.
The 2.2 was available in 1970 and 1971 and came as standard with 6x15 Fuchs. it should be noted however that you could option the car with 6x14 Fuchs for improved comfort. and would look like the car in the piccy below.
Your car (and admittedly this is based on the photo provided) has what appear to be 6x16 fronts and either 7x16 or maybe 8x16 rears. These were an option on the much later 3.0 sc and 3.2 Carrera.
They suit the car well though and to be honest I'm just jealous as they'd look great on mine

In that case they are quite valuable! Are they the ones fitted to the 2.7 Carrera RS (7" fronts and 8" or 9" rears? All fuchs rims are silly money as they are forged rather than cast, but the wider 15's fetch quite frankly stupid money!!
And yes, for my sins I am a Porsche geek. I'd love an early 911, but I'd never be able to afford to keep it on the road.
Lovely looking car and the colour really suits it.
So has the Tech 1 got 14's on it as they look smaller than the Fuchs?

i was in soton yesterday and i a mag shop they had parkers classic car price guide with pics of all cars ( quite a nice mag ) i got a copy and the tech 1 sport is not listed at all only the tech 2 . so rang the editer and told him his book was incomplete after the little silence he said what tech 1 , ? so i told him all the info about the motor and as a comparison he recon that they will be worth more than a tech 2 as they were only made 4 9 mths and there aint a lot left . but as stated on this thred it what some one is will to pay for it .
and as an example my friens had a mk1 1600 gt capri in yellow black roof ect vynal seats 4 speed bos standard rostyles wheels not service hystory but some sold for 4500 i would not have given him 500 but there we go

Haha glad you phoned him up! Shocker to leave out the tech 1!
