I am going to use the 6 branch off my M20 because i have modifed it to my 2.5" stainless system on my M50 conversion. Anyone surgest where to look for a company that makes stainless manifolds all i need is the flanges for the head plate. Thanks

2.5 inch pipes are a bit overkill IMO, you would probably be better off doing a drawing and having them made but there are a few companies selling M50/M52 manifolds on eBay

Ive got a couple of flanges made out of Mild. Search my name and M50 manifold flanges, you should find it. Failing that let me know and I'll send you some DWG files that can be used on any CNC plasma/water/laser cutter. HTH

I reckon that you will struggle to fit an M20 type six branch to an M50!Two important differences,M50 head is wider,M50 sits at a different angle.
Your options are to custom build a manifold/downpipe using a pair of M52 s/s manifolds as a starting point.Or to buy a manifold from BTB or Fritzparts.First choice requires first class welding/fabrication skills.Second choice requires a deep pocket...
M50 has an entirely different exhaust port to M20,by the time you have 'cut and shut' an M20 manifold there will not be a lot left to fit!

I will agree with that statement Daimlerman! I have an M20 SS 6 branch and it will require quite a bit of fettling to get it to fit the M50....... Its doable if youve got the patience and a welder!

The fact it's wider and at a different angle shouldn't make too much of a difference if you are chopping the flange off and adding your own. You can simply remove some of the primaries and angle the cut to match the head slightly.
Twin 2.5" exhaust is a bit much but it'll certainly do the job. My S50B32 is getting twin 2" from the collectors, through an X pipe, into a middle box and into a supersprint backbox. That should be good for 300 - 320 brake.
I found mig welding the stainless was painless (boom boom) with Argoshield gas and stainless wire, for the pipes I butt welded I back purged with argon also. The weld pool seems to be larger and there's a risk of going through the pipe if you're not careful.
Good luck mate. Sounds like you're going to have some fun!

It is a single 2.5" straight through system and i make exhausts at work not woried about welding. Strainless is a p1ss to weld with the correct wire. I just want the flanges so i can modify from there dont want to buy another manifold and chop that up as a starting point

Thanks mate did you get the hottuning one on as this is the one i have and want to use as stated above. I have made up a full system that is welded to the crossover and want to use the lamda port as well. Cheers again

Had to admit defeat mate. Modded the stainless hottuning e36 one with the m50 front pipes on the 1st one. Using m52 on the chromie. Even when you look at pics of the fritz bits ones there isn't enough room for proper 6branch set up. I had forgotten about this thread too.
