E36 Rack Conversion Question

Quick question, to try and help solve my steering problem. I need to double check the conections on the rack are connected up the correct way, as I've had some pipes made up for the conversion.

So which is the input from the pump, top or bottom connection of the E36 rack?

Thanks

The smaller port is the high pressure one from the pump, if memory serves me correctly.

It's a quicker rack, less turns lock to lock, makes the car more managable to drive.

Yep, smaller 3/8" hose and 14mm port is the feed from the pump to the rack.

Larger 1/2" hose with 16mm port is the return from the rack to the resivoir.

Have a search in the group buy section for E36 rack conversion and I think a few of the guys have pics of fitting of custom hoses
