Going to view one myself. What do i need to look for on m50 engines? can be heard still in the car (rear ended e34)

that is a good price if you can hear it running and its not mixing or making any nasty noises make sure you check fro smoke when reving

what about already out of the car? as i know of a few good ones and might buy them and sell them on? what would they fetch for engine and box (do you need an m50 box for the conversion?)

You'd probably pick up a shabby 1991/92 E36 (or E34) for about 250-400 quid and take the engine out and sell the bits
The engine should be smooth and roar! (love the M50

) - At least it won't rattle like a shagged vanos.
