I've got a full stainless scorpion with a 6 branch but it sounds awfull! it sounds hollow, I think the problem lies with centre box but cant be sure, i can get a new centre for £200 or flog the old system on ebay and get something else. whats the mongoose like?
p.s i had a scorpion system on another 325 sport and it sounded lovely! any one else had a similar problem?

Couldn't you get the centre box opened up, repacked and welded shut again? IIRC another zoner did this. I've got a scorpion on mine and love the sound

Yes but the lifetime guarantee on mine is provided that the system is insepcted each year. The lifetime guarantee is also non-transferable.

What a con! I read a test in a mag ages ago and they gave the most bhp, but when i spoke to a couple of exhaust manufacturers they all said they were rubbish. Now i know why!

I've got a genuine BMW front section and a Scorpion back box. It just sounds deep.
There seems to be a train of thought on here that it's the front box on the aftermarket systems that gives the hollow sound.
Scorpion wouldn't re-pack my box as I'm not the original buyer. I opened it up and Johnna welded it back together for me. It was so full of carbon that it was virtually just plain pipes.

It's not a con, it's standard practice. Scorpions aren't rubbish. It's all down to the ears of the person listening - some people like the hollow sound, some don't. If you're one of the ones who don't then you just fit the back box.
Genuine BMW front sections are known to last almost as long as stainless, so having half and half isn't a problem from that point of view.
Just put your centre box on eBay - someone will want it.
