I have already asked a question on the touring suspension and been told that the struts on all tourings are of the 51mm 325i variety.
Given that have they got this wrong states 45mm strut:

And states 51mm strut:

I am not buying the Spax ones BTW, its the GAZ I am getting but just noticed this when surfing.

Hi Barry,
I think the first listing should actually be a kit for saloons as they give production dates of 88-93.
Realoem is telling me there were no 316 tourings until 91.
Also they state except 4wd, all the 4wd models were 325s IIRC.
I would guess that the kit pictured is 51mm, the pictures are the same in both so I reckon they're just listing the same kit for different models. Don't really think they know what they're on about!

If your 316i touring is on it's original suspension then it will definitely have 51mm struts.
Let me know what Gaz say, I need a set of coilovers with spherical bearing rear top mounts at some point - would be interested in what price they quote you.

IIRC a pr of Gold range, rears with springs and R/J top mounts cost me about £330 delivered late last year.

Cheers Dave, that's not too bad. Sadly I need the fronts as well

Thick end of £800 I am budgeting, by the time I add the brake conversion and the G-werx hub adapters I reckon the whole front/rear suspension & brake package will be about £3k

Will be a good setup though Barry
When you talk to Gaz, ask them if the E30zone discount that JimmyC organised is still valid.

Ask for Dave Lyon and mention the Zone discount
When i did, it only applied to the dampers and not the springs or top mounts IIRC
Still better than nothing though
