Have a look at my website:
http://www.BMWBaurTC.nl
The only place which rosts because of the Baur-conversion is under the c-pillar/rearwindow.

Ive got a 2.5 Baur (as you may have guessed) one of the best cars ive ever owned, so satisfying to drive...love it (alas its in its kennel at the moment...)
Check for rot in the usual E30 areas and as the above poster says they do tend to suffer more around the rear windows.
Hoods are still available new so no big worries there.
Great thing about them is open top driving without all the weight and scuttle shake of normal cabbys. Of course you get some shake but they do feel very solid. Oh and they are the lightest of all the E30 body styles...so add a B25 to this.......

happy days

give the car a thorough examination. Quite a few cabbies have quite a few owners. It's not like it's a complex modern car that might be rife with niggles that are tough to fix so it's been passed from owner to owner.
Use the large number of owners as a bargaining point if the car is solid.

convertibles do tend to go through owners as ppl may buy them then realise there not practical for there use and sell them on.. there's also the folk that will buy a convertible for the summer then sell it when the winter starts to come in

I just looked a little longer at the pics:
-Why is the part under the doors white?
-Frontspoiler driven off (why not buy a new?)
-Rust tearing from under the door.
A couple of months ago I went to look at a bit older (5/1988) car, looked nice at the pictures...
And then to think that the car you are going to look for looks not that good in the pictures...
I'm very curious for the pictures! And please write down the Baur-number.
