Just about to buy the suspension for my touring project and have been offered a cup kit. Now I am being told that H&R use bilstein dampers in this kit?
35/40mm lowering with the dampers for £435. I am being told that the dampers will be the B8s which I believe to be the best?
Has anyone used this setup and what are their thoughts on it? Any feedback would be great as I need to order soon to get it all fitted before the trackday on the 27th!

Thanks

I Purchased the H&R Cup kit 40/60 from sal on here........

It has totaly changed the feel of the car. Its improved the "Drivability" completely......

Hell of a lot more fun to drive.....

Winx, sorry I don't know your proper name  , I think you are getting towards Gaz coilover money there(£500?) which the PBMW cars run with and seem to love(performance per £)

Something worth considering, have a look in the motorsport or group buy section. I don't really know what works and what doesn't with regards e30 so I can't be more specific and helpful. Mine is just an every day cruiser.

Turn around time could be a potential pitfall with abingdon coming up though!

The H&R cupkit doesn't use inverted Billies as far as I know.

Ask Simon13 at the Guildford meet on wednesday, he swears by cupkit springs and B6 bilsteins. I dont think the cup kit comes with Bilsteins but again Si is the person to speak to.

thought long and hard about the gaz kit but just don't want to spend the money at the moment. Other projects are crying out for money to be spent as well as this one!

Theo - thought that may be the case, will try and get the part numbers to confirm. What's a real arse is H&R raised their prices at the end of january, I was going to get this kit for £320 2 weeks ago if I hadn't dithered

Thanks for your thoughts guys.
Been offered the suspension from an H36, dampers are valved for an s38 up front which is very similar in weight to my M30, so should hopefully work out quite well!
Rears are from a cab so hopefully the extra weight of the roof mechanism is similar to that of the 'bum' of a touring!
We shall see as I am going to look at it tomorrow night :)

I bought a Cup Kit from Sal for my convertible. It was a -60/40mm setup. I later changed the springs to -30mm all round.

Great ride, over the stock set up, car felt very stable at speed and with uprated ARBs and a strut brace, felt quite a bit more sturdy. Looked great too :D
