E30 Zone

Hello,
This may be the shortest post in history,but here goes,
will a 325i tourer engine go into a 320i convertible with No problems, gearbox and diff, are they the same???

even shorter post for you. yes it will every thing is the same

virtually the same engine so its an easy plug and play swap

Use the 2.5 box/prop/diff and you will be fine

Yes it will go in. No, the gearbox isn't the same (different ratios), & the diff probably won't be an ideal ratio but would do the job at least temporarily. Alternatively if you meant will the ones from the touring go into the cab ok, yes they'll be fine.

Another thing to consider is which version of the m20 is in the convertible - although I'm not even sure if they made one with motronic 1.1?

Essentially it's a straightforward swap though. How's that for a slightly longer post?
