E30 Zone

For anyone in the Aldershot Hants area who knows Aldershot Car Spares, I popped in a lunch time and they mentioned a late 4dr 318i SE which an old bloke had brought in to scrap as he couldn't afford to run it anymore. He then said that they were going to crush it wasn't worth breaking.

I tracked it down in a shed with a renault laguna perched on its roof with no wheels looking but the bodywork (dark blue non metallic) looked very fresh. It had already been drained of fluids and was ready for crushing. V clean standard cloth interior, service folder with Mots and all sorts and mint handbooks, 4 good condition BBS centrecaps and spanner (wheels are for zsale separately), 13 button OBC, full tool kit etc.

Anyway if this is any use to anyone you'd need to go have a look this afternoon as tomorrow I suspect it'll have gone to the crusher.

Why, why why can they not see the value of breaking these kind of cars when you look at the rubbish that is stacked waiting for people who need a nissan micra door.

As of 1710hrs today it has now been crushed with OBC etc..................but not before I got a hirschman electric aerial and mint service folder (including all MOTs back to 1992!!). Gone but a small part will live on

Not an E30 but I scrapped this on Sat to make way for a new touring, no MOT or Tax, needed £500 to get the MOT, £187 Tax and then I could have sold it for £700

No point braking it, I followed a load of stuff through ebay and hardly anything sold

I can't believe that. What about the wheels? did they sell?

Wheels were hardly selling and these had 3 tyres that needed replacing, to get the money the others were getting I would have to have put tyres on
