HAVING CAR STRIPPED - ADVICE

Afternoon fellow zoners

My 325i Sport is due to be stripped in the coming weeks, and resprayed. She is at the garage already. I was wondering, is there anything else I should do to it whilest it is in this state? I mean, as many areas will be stripped, easier to access etc, are there a few basic rule sI should be aware off, look out for, that may be easier to address?

Any help would be much appreciated.

How much is being stripped? You could do the rear beam bushes and brake lines, There is a fair bit you can do but it depnds how much you're going back to.

Dont forget to waxoyl the car before you put it back together again.

Thanks for the comments lads.

I'm already aware of the waxoyl, but thank you.

You asked me 'what' I am having sprayed. I gues I'm not fully sure lol as I've simply asked for the car to be stripped and sprayed. What should this include? How far does a job like this go. I'm spending approximately 3-4k.

Nice one lads

Ask the garage what they are doing. We wouldn't be able to tell you exactly.
They should inform you how much it's being stripped.

Ruddy hell, I'm loving the look of that lol.

Bit of a change in plan by the way. Garage has offered to totally mint the vehicle for a grand. Now, thinking about it, itd be a hell of alot of stress driving an E30 once its been fully sprayed for 2.5k - i mean, are you really able to drive it like an E30 after that lol?

Which option would you take?

Will find out what the level of stripping/spraying is exactly.

Once again, thank you for the comments.

a grand isnt a lot of money for a good job. i paid more than that for a rolling shell paint job 8 years ago and that was after spending a grand having new rear quarters and doors fitted
