I have just changed over from power to manual steering rack and have discovered the steering coupling is to short, does anyone know if its just a case of getting a complete new coupling or are they broken down as individual pieces ie just purchase a longer shaft.
Any help appreciated or if anyone has one for sale?

Thanks Alex

You can seperate the coupling by grinding the heads off the rivets through the rubber section. Once splint into 2 parts make a spacer to bring it to the correct length and replace the rivets with bolts. For safety's sake I'd use Nylock nuts on the new bolts.

The manual racks use a different and significantly longer steering coupling.

That's not actually true; the splined pinion is a different size on the manual rack, you will need the complete linkage from a manual rack.

That does sound much easier than what I suggested
