If your talking about the metal framing exposed inside that's normal.

yeah the whole frame is exposed. it only has a single layer which is the roof its self.

That's how they are - just single skin, no liner.

No, thankfully my hood was replaced just before i bought the car so its brand new :D . I've seen a couple of adverts on ebay for new hoods, last one i saw was around £475 fitted IIRC

Sounds a bit too cheap to me - I wouldn't go lashing out that kind of dough without seeing some examples of their work. Most people on here seem to talk about £600 - £1000 for a new roof, fitted. Not gospel though as I haven't had to splash out either (yet!).

Sure someone will be along eventually to give some recommendations.

I think it's very cheap as well, don't know if anyone has bought a hood off ebay or not.

I need to get my roof mechanism fixed though, horseshoe doesn't click in properly

try BAS located in the Wales. i fitted mine out here and the lads who did it said it was good quality material. the fit you can see for yourself.

360 quid and they throw in the rear rivet rail too. it Sonneland material which is same as original.

got one on mine on another zoners advice and its now been on for three years, rear window still in good condition.

What's a reasonable price for fitting then? I guess not many fitters will fit a hood they haven't sourced though.

I haven't used these but another zoner recommended them if Wales is to far.

I second BAS in Cwmbran, South wales. I had mine fitted their and found them to be genuine top blokes. They even follow up with a quality garantee.

Where are you located?
