New to the zone - pics of my E30

Hi everyone,

Recently bought my first E30, a Diamond Black 1989 325iSE 4 door, Alpina reps, obc, electrics all round etc. Needs a bit of work to sort the interior but the engine and shell are good, some rust on the drivers door and bonnet and a few bubbles here and there but nothing serious, arches/scuttle/sills/problem areas all rot free. I'm 22 and I've been driving since May this year, first car was a Golf mk2 GTi but that met its end on a rainy August morning at 60mph! Having been in my mate Porky's E30 touring (not sure if he still posts here after he sold it) I got interested in E30s, learnt my lesson about driving in the the wet and started saving. I paid £900 with a years MOT & no advisories, not much service history though so it's just had a service (plugs, air oil & fuel filters), new cambelt, radiator and water pump (cheers Porky). I'm a bit of a newbie to the mechanical side of things, really want to learn how to do it all myself though, will probably be asking for 'an idiots guide to brake disc replacement' and similar in the coming months! Here's my current shopping list (when I get paid):

Lowered -60mm all round
Mild chip
Z3 short shift
Grooved discs & better pads
Black or grey leather sports interior
Stainless exhaust
6 branch manifold
BBTB's
New driver's door & bonnet (cheaper than fixing the rust)
New heater matrix (current one is leaking coolant)
SE skirts, iS lip spoiler, smoked indicators, Tech 2 steering wheel etc.
And maybe a Tech 2 kit and a respray next year if I can afford it

By the way I live in Ware, Hertfordshire, seen a few nice E30s cruising round at the weekends, any other zoners live round here?

Onto the pics, few night shots and some arty ones when it snowed a while back:

I want snow.

Nice car. My congratulations (or condolances if you prefer) on killing the Golf. Hertfordshire is an E30 hotspot, I think. As is *shudder* Croydon. Smoke/crystal side indicators not on the list?

Well spotted you two.
Although you missed the bit in the post where he said they
were plans for the car, not things which have been done already.
